Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
SCORE: 80
Peter played the first Mario + Rabbids video game and the DLC that
came afterward. I am very thankful I got the opportunity to play and
review Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Thankfully I had the money to
purchase a copy of this Nintendo Switch video game. I streamed Mario +
Rabbids Sparks of Hope from start to finish on our YouTube channel. As
we get the time, and financial resources we will get those videos on our
other video sites.
The issues families will have with Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope are
violence, fortune teller, and more. We are out in space this time, and
we meet characters like Rosalina, and Rabbit Rosalina. There is less of
a focus on getting better weapons and more of a focus on upgrading the
sparks and skills for the characters. Sparks are little buddies we save
along the way in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. They can give us all
kinds of different skills.
Each character in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope gets two actions they
can perform. We can attack, and use one of the sparks for example.
Certain characters have helpful skills. For example Mario and Luigi have
a hero sight that allows them to shoot any enemy that moves in their
range. This is an extra attack outside of what is normally done in a
turn.
We collect coins and star bits. the star bits level up the sparks. The
coins allow us to purchase items. There are other collectibles like
memories and planet keys. These are earned from chests, and side
missions. There are plenty of side missions that can be performed aft
the game has been beaten. When I played Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
there are five planets that can be explored. I read there was a sixth
one that was only available for a limited time. I was not able to get to
this game in my pile when that limited time event was live.
The turn based strategy is pretty good in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of
Hope. The only way to revive a character is to have the revive spark
assigned to one of the three characters in the battle. Players get to
use all of the their characters in three different areas when fighting
the end boss. There are some clever bosses in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of
Hope like that Giant Wiggler.
There are some nice bright colors and cool planets to visit in Mario +
Rabbids Sparks of Hope. There is some voice acting from some of the
characters within Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Mario + Rabbids Sparks
of Hope is a bit on the short side.
