Masters of the Universe Masterverse #2
SCORE: 60
Do you ever wonder why you ignore the little voice in your head that
tells you to not do something? I had the thought that I should leave
these Masters of the Universe comic books behind. I had that thought
when I saw the first one. Now I completed reading the second one. The
experience is not getting any better. In fact Masters of the Universe
Masterverse #2 is slightly worse than the first issue. I am beginning to
notice a pattern and I do not like it. There will be spoilers in this
review.
The first and the last page are in color and are a conversation between
Zodac and the Sorceress. They are looking at different universes trying
to decide if they can trust He-Man or not. After the first page we have
nine pages of color that tell one interesting story. The next nine pages
are done in black and white and did not make much sense to me. He-Man is
gone from that world and these two magical beings are playing games with
one another. Why?
The twenty pages of comic book content in Masters of the Universe
Masterverse #2 did not improve my mood on this franchise. After the
comic book content in Masters of the Universe Masterverse #2 we see one
of the front covers to the next issue. After that there are some
advertisements. Nothing in those advertisements interested me in the
slightest. They are obviously not providing for everyone in their
advertisements.
The issues families can have with Masters of the Universe Masterverse #2
are magic, multiverse religious beliefs, false goddess, lack of attire,
enticement to lust, violence, and more. The second story in Masters of
the Universe Masterverse #2 is about pointless in my opinion. The black
and white art in Masters of the Universe Masterverse #2 hurt my eyes and
head. The first story in Masters of the Universe Masterverse #2 is much
more interesting to me.
The first story in Masters of the Universe Masterverse #2 shows General
Adam going on a sea quest trying to find this island. A sea creature
attacks and General Adam saves a prisoner and they get to the island. I
guess General Adam gets the sword and becomes He-Man. The two of them
appear in the throne room to stop an evil uncle from influencing the
king. My understanding is that is an origin story of one of the He-Man
characters.
