Mega Cat Studios Collection 2

Wow look at Mega Cat Studios. They get two separate collection cartridges. I am very thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of Mega Cat Studios Collection 2. This package comes with a case, cartridge, manual, and an insert. The insert is about how the version of Roniu’s Tale is an exclusive demonstration. Make sure to update your system because once the full version is available then you will be able to play it. That is pretty neat.

The games included on the Mega Cat Studios Collection 2 cartridge are Arkagis Revolution, Devwill Too, Alter Ego, Gluf, Romeow & Juliecat, Roniu’s Tale, Misplaced, and Yazzie. There are eight indie games in all included on the Mega Cat Studios Collection 2 cartridge. This is less than was included on the previous Mega Cat Studios Collection. Mega Cat Studios Collection 2 includes one shooter, three puzzle platformers, two platformers and three puzzle video games.

The puzzle and platformer genres really dominate the Mega Cat Studios Collection 2. The graphics are very indie within Mega Cat Studios Collection 2. There are a couple of games on the Mega Cat Studios Collection 2 cartridge that are done in the 16-bit style. The majority look to be in the 8-bit style. At least to me. The music is the same way in Mega Cat Studios Collection 2. The retro sounds and graphics work together for those interested in a nostalgic gaming experience. Family do get eight retro looking, sounding and playing video games on the Mega Cat Studios Collection 2.

There is plenty of game play available on Mega Cat Studios Collection 2 if you are into these kinds of video games. I found a few of the puzzle games interesting personally. I do feel like there are better Evercade cartridges out there. I also feel like some other indie companies should get an opportunity at a cartridge. I am a bit baffled why this one indie company got a second bite at the apple, especially after they release physical copies of these games on the older systems. There has to be other indie companies who could use an opportunity.
