One Piece Odyssey

I hope you have been able to catch the live streams I performed of One Piece Odyssey. This turn based role playing video game takes the Straw Hat Crew to the island of Waford. There are mysteries to unravel in this video game. Fanboys are treated to some areas of the past to help unearth the mysteries of Waford. This island is legendary in its own right. We are also treated to some new characters and monsters in One Piece Odyssey.

The issues families can have with this thirteen and older only lenient ESRB rated video game are violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, bad language, perverts, adult themes, tobacco, and more. Thankfully One Piece Odyssey is not too difficult. I lost some battles here and there. We have a good size crew and usually I could figure out how to defeat the monsters. I did need to grind here and there in One Piece Odyssey to be strong enough to beat some of the bosses.

I wish we could run around the areas a bit faster in One Piece Odyssey. Battle animations also can help this short role playing video game drag on. Based on the amount of time of the main story I feel that One Piece Odyssey is overpriced. There are side missions and bounties that can be done in One Piece Odyssey. That helps add to the replay value if you feel like doing those. I enjoyed the turn based battle system in One Piece Odyssey. It feels a lot like one on one with each of the enemies. Or one character we are playing with may have three enemies to attack. Then another character has another two or three. It felt like the battle area was larger than it actually is that way.

One Piece Odyssey looks good, and has some cool music. All of the voice acting is in Japanese. There is English text so the one player working on One Piece Odyssey can read what is going on. I would prefer the option to hear the voice acting in English. I know that is a pet peeve of my dad as well. This is Bandai Namco Entertainment and they are known for this. It is like they do not put enough effort into their games. If you are a One Piece fanboy or fangirl then you may get into One Piece Odyssey. I had my moments where I enjoyed this video game. I see where improvements could have been made.
