Planet of the Apes #4
SCORE: 64
I really hope this series wraps up really soon. I know there is at
least one more issue of Planet of the Apes planned after this one. I
will see what happens after that. My interest in this series continues
to degenerate as I read each issue. Planet of the Apes #4 is the latest
one I have read and honestly it did not impress me. I am so sick and
tired of this apes are better than humans garbage. There will be
spoilers in this review.
The issues families can have with Planet of the Apes #4 are violence,
blood, language, and more. There is some lack of attire and enticement
to lust in some of the advertisements within Planet of the Apes #4. By
the way the advertisements are found all throughout the Planet of the
Apes #4 comic book. I have read the Stormbreaker before. It is about Nic
Klein who worked on The Incredible Hulk. That did not interest me in
purchasing that series.
The layout of Planet of the Apes #4 is interesting. We have three pages
of comic book content telling one story. Then two pages of recap and
credits. Then it picks up for another twelve pages with that same story.
Finally Planet of the Apes #4 ends with five pages about this smartest
gorilla story that has been going for a few issues. We are also treated
to one of the front covers for the next issue.
The apes are fighting against humans now in Planet of the Apes #4.
Training them to kill humans was obviously a really bad idea. Yet here
we are in Planet of the Apes #4. The apes are smart enough in Planet of
the Apes #4 to figure out how to reload and fire a rocket launcher.
Humans are shown to having issues using the rocket launches. The human
strategy in Planet of the Apes #4 is just bad. Start with your long
range weapons before trying to board a boat.
The whole PUG story was really confusing. Planet of the Apes #4 shows
that this gorilla can speak and use intelligent military strategy. The
human they captured does not want to die so he shares military secrets.
Why didn't he mention that apes are killing humans? It would make
perfect sense to explain they carry a disease that is killing humans.
That is just poor writing in my professional opinion.
