Planet of the Apes #5
SCORE: 61
The most exciting thing about Planet of the Apes #5 is this series is
now done. I was planning on not reading much beyond this point anyways.
Planet of the Apes #5 does not bring us to the start of the movies
either. Planet of the Apes #5 follows the trend of the previous issues
that we get fifteen pages of the main story and then five pages devoted
to the story of Pug. There will be spoilers in this review.
The Army of Man is very close to overthrowing the corrupt government in
Planet of the Apes #5. They are confronted by the humans that are
working with apes. There is a very disturbing scene within Planet of the
Apes #5. After the Army of Man is defeated the prisoners are straight up
murdered by their fellow humans. That kind of disregard for the judicial
system is very shocking. The main lady in Planet of the Apes #5 walks
away at that point.
The issues families will have with Planet of the Apes #5 are violence,
blood, bad language, and more. Humans are made to look horrible in
Planet of the Apes #5. Advertisements can be found throughout the Planet
of the Apes #5 comic book. The Marvel Stormbreakers in Planet of the
Apes #5 is devoted to Elena Casagrande. She is involved with the Blade
comic book. I am not interested in that horror book at all.
The story about Pug the Gorilla shows how merciful and kind he is. Pug
saves humans enslaved by the Army of Man. Pug gives the human traitor
food and drink. This human is writing about the great things Pug is
doing. All the while this human is being treated like a pet at best. It
is another disturbing aspect of Planet of the Apes #5. I am really glad
this series is completely done.
Planet of the Apes #5 shows that humans teach apes how to strategize and
fight battles. There obviously is no coming back from this decimation of
humanity. Planet of the Apes #5 also likes to attack people of faith. I
find it very disturbing. At one point Planet of the Apes #5 felt like
evil Romans putting Christians to death in the Coliseum. I guess history
is repetitive. Those that hate people of faith will repeat the same
mistakes.
