Red Goblin #2
SCORE: 69
I am thankful I could find a copy of Red Goblin #2 to purchase
locally. The storyline within this comic book series is starting to take
an interesting shape. The credits page of Red Goblin #2 contains a
series recap. There will be spoilers in this review. Phil Urich is the
leader of Goblin Nation in Red Goblin #2. Phil has a plan and it
involves Norman Osborn. That is why they captured Norman in the last
issue.
We learn about this plan in Red Goblin #2. Phil is draining Norman
Osborn of blood in Red Goblin #2. He is using that blood to power up
Goblin Nation. We also learn the past and history of Phil Urich. He was
dead and buried. The Goblin formula partially reverses cell death. That
means Phil was brought back to life because of it. He needs more to get
healthier. He is falling apart as he continues to live.
The issues families will have with Red Goblin #2 are violence, blood,
gore, bad language and more. There are twenty pages of content within
Red Goblin #2. We are also treated to a Marvel Stormbreakers, and
Bullpen Bulletins in Red Goblin #2. Ads can be found throughout this
comic book. This is pretty standard for Marvel. Phil also plans on
drawing out the Red Goblin in this particular comic book.
Normie gets beat up in school, saved by another kid, and then goes to
save his grandfather in Red Goblin #2. The jackets of the two kids are
swapped so it could lead trouble coming to the wrong kid in the future.
The Red Goblin does save Norman Osborn in Red Goblin #2. They do not
however get completely away in Red Goblin #2. The cliff hanger ending in
Red Goblin #2 is Goblin Nation blocks the way of the due escaping.
The symbiote Rascal behaves quite well in Red Goblin #2. Rascal is
obedient and asks to be able to do some damage. It looks like Rascal may
gets his wish in the next issue if Normie and Norman are to survive. I
am curious to see where this comic book is going. I am also interested
in the whole theme of the Osborn family suffering because of Spider-Man.
It seems to me they have their own demons and issues to resolve in their
own brains.
