Red Goblin #5
SCORE: 67
I had to order a copy of the Red Goblin #5 comic book on eBay since I
could not find it locally at any of our comic book stores. I also have
learned that I have a preference over the two comic book stores. This
one store has more variant covers for the same price, and more of what
we are buying. Red Goblin #5 starts a new arc but some things happen
before this comic book. I am guessing they happen in other comic books.
There will be spoilers in this review.
The first page in Red Goblin #5 is the recap and credits page. This is
where I learned what happened between the last issue of Red Goblin and
this one. Mile Morales makes an appearance in Red Goblin #5. Carnage is
back and he is more powerful that ever. In fact this Carnage can control
people's minds and make them try to kill their own loved ones. It
happens in Normie's family to his younger brother. He almost kills their
mother.
The Carnage in Red Goblin #5 reminds me of the one in that Spider-Man
2099 comic book series I recently read Spider-Man 2099 Dark Genesis. The
ideas in Red Goblin #5 do not feel very original to me. Especially at
the price these comic books sell for. There are twenty pages of comic
book content within Red Goblin #5. Like other Marvel comics we find
advertisements all throughout the comic book. I read the Storm Breaker
in Red Goblin #5 before. It is about C.F. Villa and the Avengers comic
book series.
The issues families can have with Red Goblin #5 are blood, violence,
lack of attire, and more. Cletus Kasady is quite the psycho in Red
Goblin #5. I guess according to the recap Carnage was actually dead at
some point. I am not sure how he is alive again. I am not curious enough
to find and read the comics where it happened either. Other heroes can
be found in Red Goblin #5 fighting off people Carnage is controlling.
Red Goblin and Miles Morales work together in Red Goblin #5. They team
up to fight off a piece of Carnage that is controlling someone in an
Iron Man like suit of armor. They wind up freeing this person which
sends Carnage into an utter rage at the end of Red Goblin #5. It looks
like this storyline will continue for at least another issue. There is
some bad language in symbols in Red Goblin #5 and some other bad
language that is typed out.
