Ride 4

I hope you were one of the viewers that got to watch me struggle with Ride 4. If you missed that live stream make sure to check out the video of it on the Family Friendly Gaming website in the videos section. Ride 4 is hard. Ride 4 is obnoxious. Even with assists on. There are certain things that cannot be done right in the career mode. I will give an example of this later in this review.

The modes in Ride 4 are Career, Race, Multiplayer, Bike and Rider, Editor, Weekly Challenges, Options and Downloadable Contents. The rewind button is extremely helpful when Ride 4 lets players use it. I ran into some tests I had to pass in Ride 4 that did not let me use that assist. I think most all of the assists were off and I really need them to survive. I am not a professional motorcycle racer. I obviously am not the best at this. Ride 4 needs to be approachable by those with less than stellar skills.

Ride 4 helped me respect one thing about motorcycle racing. These guys doing this can get themselves really hurt racing these bikes. These tracks are insane with all of these twists and turns. Make one mistake and the racer is going to the hospital in the best case scenario. I never want to do this in real life because it could lead to death. The racers must get some thrill out of doing this because it looks too dangerous to me.

Ride 4 is so unforgiving even with dropping the computer controlled racers as low as the game will put them. That is twenty percent for those that were not aware. I still had issues winning races in Ride 4. It is too easy to crash and I am confused how the computer controlled racers can go through those turns so fast. I could not duplicate that effort for my life. Why is Ride 4 so difficult?

Ride 4 looks nice and it sounds decent. I turned off the music to be safe since there are constantly somebody coming along with some copyright claim when we record and transform these video games according to the fair use section of the copyright laws. I had all kinds of issues with the controls. My dad even tried to do some things to help me and he could not complete some of the tests in Ride 4. I gave up on Ride 4. I think only hardcore bike racing enthusiasts will be interested in Ride 4.
