Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat
SCORE: 73
I am very thankful that Family Friendly Gaming was given a retail
version of Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat on Blu-ray. I first heard about
this franchise in the second movie. Ya'll can read the review for my
impressions of that movie. I like Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat better than
the second movie. I need to find a copy of the first movie and watch it
at some point. Please be aware there will be spoilers in this review.
Bodi comes back from tour and is just chilling in his village. Things
have changed in his village and Bodi learns that in Rock Dog 3 Battle
the Beat. The sheep and the wolves are hanging out together and there is
no more conflict between them. This makes Hazel very unhappy. Angus
Scattergood is on this music show where the judges insult one another.
Bodi wants them to cooperate and have harmony.
Part of Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat is following Angus as he got hit in
the head and lost his memory. Angus tries all these different jobs and
even teaches the sheep a dance to do. The sheep wind up doing the dance
all throughout the movie. Bodi winds up taking over for Angus in his
absence. Bodi winds up changing and becomes the king of zing. He insults
the other judge quite a bit.
Bodi is all about rock and roll. He gets to mentor this girl band in
Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat. At first he messes it all up and forces them
to be like him and to play his musical style. When he lets the pop
singers be themselves it works much better for them. Throwing all these
zingers really changes Bodi. Thankfully at the end of Rock Dog 3 Battle
the Beat he realizes this and acts more like his previous self.
Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat has a message of unity. Music is supposed to
bring us together and not divide us. I do not watch any of the music
shows on television so I do not know if Rock Dog 3 Battle the Beat is
commentary on them or not. There is some humor within Rock Dog 3 Battle
the Beat. Certain characters are referred to as "rock gods" in Rock Dog
3 Battle the Beat as well. This movie also encourages viewers to be
positive.
