Shadow & Bone Season Two
SCORE: 51
Since I watched the first season of this television show I decided to
watch the second one. Shadow & Bone Season Two picks up where the last
one left off. We do get to meet some interesting new characters in
Shadow & Bone Season Two. The goal of Shadow & Bone Season Two remains
the same - bring down the fold. I feel like the first two seasons should
have been one complete season. At least that is how it feels to me.
There will be spoilers in this review. Alina Starkov and Malyen Oretsev
continue to be the main characters in Shadow & Bone Season Two. We also
learn about the crows, a privateer (Sturmhond) that is actually a prince
(Prince Nikolai), and of course the dark one (General Kirigan). Matthias
is stuck in prison, and Nina is trying to get him out. Nina gets a
pardon but the guards won't read it and it winds up on the floor. Shadow
& Bone Season Two sets up for season three with a new drug that makes
Grisha even more powerful.
The issues families can have with Shadow & Bone Season Two are magic,
blood, violence, gore, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sexual
deviancy, sex outside of marriage, bad language, and more. There are
very few good guys or bad guys in Shadow & Bone Season Two. The sun
summoner could be considered good in Shadow & Bone Season Two until the
final episode. She starts to use darker magic to get her way. She
promised she would not do so.
Alina uses these amplifiers in Shadow & Bone Season Two. She gets them
from what is left after killing mystical creatures. We learn that Mal is
one of those amplifiers. Alina has to kill him to get rid of the fold.
She then brings him back with dark magic. At the end of Shadow & Bone
Season Two Alina uses dark magic instead of light magic. She seems to
like it as well. I do not think anyone saw but it is a problem for the
next season if there is one.
The Asian influence in Shadow & Bone Season Two is interesting. There
are certain characters in Shadow & Bone Season Two that seem to be
immortal. They can be killed but they do not seem to age or die of
natural causes. They live multiple life times with others. Shadow & Bone
Season Two makes the viewer feel bad for those that live such long
lives. I know there can be a down side to any power but extremely long
life is something I would not mind having.
