Sing 2

There are plenty of sequels that are not as good or interesting as
the original. That is certainly not the case with Sing 2. This is one of
the movies I bought on our march to Christmas related to Black Friday
sales. Sing 2 is a musical about the group of animals trying to make it
on the next level. Buster Moon does not take no for an answer when a
scout tells him his troupe is not good enough. He believes in them and
what they can do together. There will be spoilers in this review.
Buster Moon gets his crew to the audition and winds up impressing Mr.
Crystal. Jimmy Crystal is a wolf and he cares mainly about his own
image. He does not care what you do as long as you do not make him look
bad. Buster Moon makes a major blunder here. He lies to Mr. Crystal
about being able to get Clay Calloway. After Calloway's wife died he has
been a recluse for fifteen years. Mr Crystal threatens to throw Buster
Moon off the roof if he cannot get Mr. Calloway.
Thankfully the troupe is able to convince Clay Calloway to join them.
They are being hunted to be killed and decide to make the show happen
anyway. The show is a complete hit and Mr. Crystal tries to take credit
for it. The troupe leaves and wind up performing for another theatre at
the end of Sing 2. Johnny learns to dance in Sing 2 thanks to a street
performer. The professional dance teacher is not able to teach him.
Expect plenty of well known and very popular music within Sing 2. The
animation is good in Sing 2. The main lesson in Sing 2 is to believe in
yourself, work hard, and to overcome your fears. There is some peril,
violence, and lying within Sing 2. I wish characters would be honest and
say they will do their best to get him. Sing 2 tries to make it look
like Buster Moon over estimates things. In reality he lied to Mr.
Crystal. Thankfully Sing 2 shows that lie causes all kinds of problems.
There are some extremely humorous moments within Sing 2. An example is
when Miss Crawly returns the rental car after meeting Calloway. I was
laughing so hard I could barely breath. There are two mini movies on the
DVD I purchased. Those two mini movies are For Gunter's Eyes Only, and
Animal Attraction. Both of them are really funny. Sing 2 shows how
people in big cities think they are better than those from smaller
towns.
