Sonic The Hedgehog #54

This is the issue I have been waiting for. After the events of the last couple of issues there was some really good build up into Sonic The Hedgehog #54. Please note there will be spoilers in this review. I knew that Kitsunami and Surge were going to be reunited in Sonic The Hedgehog #54. I did not expect it would take so long. Although the more I think about it, the better the story is. Sonic and Tails are trying to avoid getting hit and hurt by Surge as Sonic The Hedgehog #54 begins. Whisper helps Sonic by giving him some of the wisps power.

Surge is filled with rage and just wants to destroy Sonic. She does not listen to reason. She hates Sonic and wants to hurt him and his friends. The helmet she stole from Eggman is causing her problems as well. Sonic humiliates Surge multiple times in Sonic The Hedgehog #54. These are done in comedic ways. A bucket on her head, and some loose nuts and bolts to slip on. Sonic also has problems with his previous leg injuries causing him issues in Sonic The Hedgehog #54. Thankfully Tails is there and he has a plan.

Tails forces Surge to power quite a few different devices. This drains her of much of her power. Once she passes out from trying to over power everything Sonic and Tails try to move in to get that device off her head. This is when Kitsunami shows up. He does not believe Sonic and Tails and saves Surge. Poor Whisper is without the wisps though. Sonic and Tails vow to help Whisper get the wisps back. Kitsunami takes Surge back to their old lair. Surge starts seeing the doctor that worked on them.

The issues families can have with Sonic The Hedgehog #54 is violence. There are characters with different powers and abilities that are shown and used in Sonic The Hedgehog #54. Surge is horrible to everyone but Kitsunami. I realized that if Kitsunami wanted to he could easily stop Surge. He is water and she is electricity. Get that electrical character all wet when they release a charge and that should do it. I wonder if that will happen in a future issue of this comic book?

The payoff in Sonic The Hedgehog #54 is pretty good. We know that Kitsunami and Surge will come back in the future. I am unsure how long they will lay low. Sonic needs more time to heal as well. Poor Whisper is in dire shape without the wisps. I hope that is resolved in the next issue or two. This storyline has been going on for a bit. Eggman and Metal Sonic are also hunting Surge because she was able to successfully use gear that he considered broken. Eggman wants to find out why it worked for her.
