Sonic the Hedgehog #62
SCORE: 77
We had something strange happen here recently at Family Friendly
Gaming. Issues were missed in multiple different comic books that are
being read. Since multiple people have access to the shared document we
use to keep track it could be the fault of anyone. They should have
noticed that Sonic the Hedgehog #62 was missing for example and made a
note of that. So it could have been purchased. As of right now it means
there was an issue read out of order. This review was fast tracked to
appear before the review of the next issue.
There will be spoilers in this review of Sonic the Hedgehog #62. Certain
things in the next comic book make so much more sense after reading
Sonic the Hedgehog #62. I meet Clutch and his aggressive business model.
I learn about how Clutch is competing with the Restoration that does the
same work for free. What work do they do? The Restoration and Clean
Sweep Inc clean up the robots and weapons left behind by Dr. Eggman.
Mimic is not really interested in infiltrating the Restoration until he
hears about Whisper and Tangle. Those two characters are in the Diamond
Cutters. As it would happen the Diamond Cutters are the vanguard of the
Restoration and looking into bring in more members to expand. Mimic
agrees and becomes Duo. He does infiltrate them at the end of Sonic the
Hedgehog #62. Which makes the training exercises more interesting in the
next issue.
There is another storyline that happens within Sonic the Hedgehog #62.
Amy returns an Echidna artifact to Angel Island in Sonic the Hedgehog
#62. Knuckles works with Amy to return this artifact to where it
belongs. Rouge had picked it up as a trophy from Eggman's trophy room in
a previous issue of this comic book. I am not sure that event was even
shown though. There are dangers on Angel Island of course.
Sonic the Hedgehog #62 starts with the Story so far, then we have a page
with the main characters, twenty pages of comic book content, next
months cover, Sonic Letter Squad, alternate covers, and then some
advertisements. The art continues to be crisp and clean in Sonic the
Hedgehog #62. It was interesting to find out Mimic had escaped jail. I
wonder why he has this vendetta.
