Star Trek #11

Star Trek #11 is part three of the Day of Blood Storyline. There are five parts to that storyline. I read the preview to the storyline in that free comic book day comic. This is my first entrance into this storyline. I had little interest in purchasing the other different comic books to get the full story of Day of Blood. After reading Star Trek #11 I might be changing my mind on that. I am not sure one way or the other. There will be spoilers in this review.

I may even be dropping this comic book in an issue or two. I had no interest in purchasing the reading the Star Trek Defiant comic book. Star Trek #11 shows more characters from other comic books from this one. That really threw me at first. Why are Spock and Scotty on the same ship now? The Defiant crashed into a planet. We have previous villains like Lore and Sela. What are all these characters doing here?

The recap on the credits page gives some clues as to what is happening. At the same time there are big gaps in what is going on. I still have no idea what all these characters are doing here now. The end of Star Trek #11 explains that Star Trek Defiant #7 is the next comic book in this storyline. There is also a checklist on the back of the Star Trek #11 comic book.

The issues families will have with Star Trek #11 are violence, blood, bad language, and more. Thing look bad for Captain Sisko and Worf in Star Trek #11. This is right at the end. I guess there is some drug that Klingons are using to make themselves even stronger. I am unclear on the effects of this drug. Lieutenant Shax is also in Star Trek #11. So is Tom Paris and his wife B'Elanna Torres.

There is a two page layout in Star Trek #11 that shows the schematics of a Federation Starship. I counted those two pages in the twenty-four pages of comic book content within Star Trek #11. Near the end of Star Trek #11 we are treated to some advertisements of other products from this company. There is also a covers checklist page which is pretty neat to see in my opinion.
