Star Trek #2

I am very thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the Star Trek #2 comic book. I actually made a mistake and purchased two copies of the Star Trek #2. They had different covers and someone forgot to update our shared document with what the next issue we need to purchase. I may have made that mistake. I am not certain. Mistakes are made we are human after all. There will be spoilers in this review. The back of the front cover brings new readers up to speed. Or even old readers who are reading quite a few different comic books.

Captain Sisko goes to Qo'Nos to see Ambassador Worf. The Federation crew is asking for permission to visit Sarkadesh from Emperor Kahless II. There is obviously some things that happened with the Klingon Empire that I am not caught up on. The Diplomatic briefing page in Star Trek #2 helped me learn a bit more about this empire. There is another page in Star Trek #2 that is a Klingon Defense Force song. It references Sarkadesh. There are some powerful beings on Sarkadesh that want to be left alone.

The issues families can have with Star Trek #2 is blood, violence, false gods and more. Numerous powerful beings in Star Trek #2 are referred to as gods. That goes for the ones killed in the last issue and the ones on Sarkadesh. Captain Sisko disobeys the Klingon Emperor and goes to Sarkadesh anyways. He fails to get information from them because they do not care about others. Commander Data is able to convince them based on their engineering and Shaper ways. He points out that humans made him so they are not all bad.

A Klingon knife with blood on it is shown at the end of Star Trek #2. Worf also decides he wants back into Starfleet to help with this mission. He seemed to grow bored of being an ambassador and longs for being back in the stars. Star Trek #2 references that Q will be the next one they want to see. I wonder if this murderer is after the Q Continuum now? I guess I will need to keep reading to find out. The Klingons sent multiple ships to stop Captain Sisko but Worf was able to trick them away.

The crew of the Thesus is on the hunt of this ship that is destroying really powerful beings. I hope they are able to catch up and find a motive. I expected Captain Sisko to do whatever he wants and create an interstellar incident because he care more about his mission than keeping peace with others. I am a bit surprised the Klingon Emperor did not care about what was going on. The same goes for the Shapers. The Shapers did fear for their lives so that makes some sense. I plan on continuing to read this comic book series.
