Star Trek #4
SCORE: 60
I recently read the Star Trek #4 comic book. I am getting less and
less thrilled about this comic book series as it continues on. The
promotion of false gods has me wondering the true intent of this comic
book. I will try to get to that later in this review. The crew is on the
path to the city of T'Kon. Although it seems they have no idea where it
is or how to get there. Expect some spoilers in this review.
Star Trek #4 has comments about these beings with immense power just
having skills and/or knowledge above and beyond what Starfleet has. Star
Trek #4 is teaching that God is not any bigger or better than the rest
of us. That is the true intent I am starting to discern from this comic
book series after reading Star Trek #4. There is a bit of violent
content within Star Trek #4. There are two log file pages with
information within Star Trek #4.
There are twenty-two pages of content, next month's cover, alternate
covers, and advertisements within Star Trek #4. There is some nice art
that spans across two pages within Star Trek #4. The extent of talk
about these false gods gets really excessive and exhausting within Star
Trek #4. The T'Kon are found based on an idea one of the crew members
had in Star Trek #4. It looks like a left behind space station to me.
How did no one discover something that big before?
We finally find out who the bad guy is in Star Trek #4. It is Klingons
and Kahless. It really feels like little thought was put into the
characters used within Star Trek #4. Why not come up with someone new?
There are so many possibilities but to just throw in the Klingon's feels
lazy to me. The giant T'Kon space station actually was built on and
around some giant space creature. The Klingons are trying to destroy it.
Space gets changed in this area so the U.S.S. Theseus is having all
kinds of problems. Nothing is mentioned about the Klingons having any
issues. Why is that? The recap in Star Trek #4 is found on the back side
of the front cover. I am debating how much longer I feel like reading
this series. Data makes some interesting points within Star Trek #4.
Worf is a fun character in Star Trek #4. I also like Scotty.
