Star Trek #9

I am thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the Star Trek #9 comic book. The front cover of Star Trek #9 references the countdown to day of blood. The end of Star Trek #9 also has a guide as to which comic books will be a part of the day of blood. I know it is a crossover but beyond that I am not too versed on this day of the blood. The name itself is not something that interests me very much. There will be spoilers in this review.

The issues families will have with Star Trek #9 are false gods, violence, blood, bad language, ghost, and more. In one part of Star Trek #9 a bad word is put as symbols. On the very next page a profanity spelled out. I am not sure why it was not replaced with symbols in the second spot. I found that really strange. Captain Sisko sees the ghost of Dukat in Star Trek #9. Garak admits he would love to kill Dukat except he is already dead.

Captain Sisko is found guilty in Star Trek #9. This comic book ends with his execution about to be enacted. The crew of the ship are battling Cardassians that are acting like Klingons. The crew also finds the Orb of Creation in Star Trek #9. Their last scene is having all kinds of ships decloak around them. They are in for a fight that they probably cannot win. At least that is what Star Trek #9 leads me to believe.

Star Trek #9 contains twenty-two pages of comic book content, one of next month's covers, alternate covers, and advertisements. There are also two pages in Star Trek #9 that are related to Star Trek lore and the story itself. An example is the page devoted to a personal log of Barada Damar. Kahless has really inspired people from a vast array of different cultures. I still do not understand why they want to destroy these different beings.

The back side of the front cover of Star Trek #9 contains a recap as well as credits. The storyline is supposed to conclude in the next issue. I wonder if they are going to have Captain Sisko killed off? I expect the crew should be able to get away from their predicament. I am not so sure about Captain Sisko. Maybe it is time for that character to pay for what he did to Cardassia. Although I am not totally clear how he is to blame.
