Star Trek Resurgence #2

I am very thankful for your donations and all of the companies that advertise and sponsor Family Friendly Gaming for the finances and time to be able to purchase, read and review the Star Trek Resurgence #2 comic book. This story is shaping out exactly how I expected it to. The Federation is on a daring missions to rescue Dr. Brahms. There will be spoilers of this story in this review of Star Trek Resurgence #2.

Comic books are known for twist endings that make you want to go and purchase the next issue. I may have a problem since the last time anyone from Family Friendly Gaming went to a local comic book store the next issue was not there. The issue beyond that was available. I will check again locally and if I cannot find it I will need to purchase it online so I can keep the story going and coherent. This is not the first time this has happened to me since coming back to the comic book industry. Or I could just read things out of order and be a bit confused.

Star Trek Resurgence #2 has twenty pages of content, next months cover, alternate covers, and then some advertisements. There is a recap of the storyline on the credits page within Star Trek Resurgence #2. That credits page happens to be the back of the front cover. A very efficient way of using the space if you know what I mean. I had not heard of IDW Publishing until I came back to the comic book industry. I am impressed with many things they do.

The twist ending in Star Trek Resurgence #2 involves finally finding Dr. Brahms and she tells the Federation that she came willingly. I actually expected that would be the case. I am a bit baffled that the Talarian did not just explain that from the beginning. A lot of violence could have been avoided. It looks like at least one of the front covers to the next issue will contain blood on it. Star Trek Resurgence #2 also has some lying and deception in it.

There is an interesting conflict within Star Trek Resurgence #2. The crew of the Resolute were given the mission to rescue and bring back Dr. Brahms. If she does not want to come then what will they do about it? Do they force her with them? The Talarians are probably offering her the ability to continue her research where the Federation wanted her to stop. In essence she defected to continue her dangerous studies. I am curious to see where this franchise goes. It also has me interested in the video game.
