Star Trek Resurgence #3
SCORE: 70
We were unable to find a copy of Star Trek Resurgence #3 to purchase
locally. I bought Star Trek Resurgence #3 online along with some other
comics to get a better deal on shipping. I am very curious about the
upcoming video game thanks to this comic book. I am wondering where Star
Trek Resurgence #3 will complete and the video game will pick up. There
will be spoilers in this review of Star Trek Resurgence #3.
The version of Star Trek Resurgence #3 I purchased is cover A. That
means there is blood on the cover. There is also a bit of blood inside
the comic book. Star Trek Resurgence #3 also contains violence, lying,
and deceit. The stand off from the last issue is ended thanks to some
diplomacy. The U.S.S. Resolute is going to be used to add Dr. Brahms new
experimental engine. The Talarians will get what they want, and
Starfleet gets to live.
I find it interesting that the first officer goes behind the captains
back in Star Trek Resurgence #3. He works with a Talarian to get all of
the Talarians off the ship. They fake a plasma leak and that causes an
evacuation. Then the crew has to try and get out of there. In fact that
is where Star Trek Resurgence #3 ends. I figure the Talarians will not
be pleased when they find out about the deception.
The captain was trying to play the long game and use diplomacy with the
Talarians. There is a lack of trust on both sides. To be fair both sides
have played dirty, made threats, and tried to mess over the other side.
Star Trek Resurgence #3 does feel like a typical Star Trek television
episode to me. Especially with how Star Fleet behaves. The recap on the
back of the front cover will help new readers catch up.
Star Trek Resurgence #3 includes twenty pages of content, one of next
month's covers, alternate covers for this month, and then some
advertisements. Captain Picard is shown at the beginning of Star Trek
Resurgence #3. He talks about how there needs to be peace, cooperation,
and working together. The working together happens with the captain and
the Talarians, and the first officer and the Talarians. They just have
different goals.
