Star Trek Resurgence #5

I am so thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of the Star Trek Resurgence #5 comic book. This fifth issue wraps up the storyline. I am very curious to see where the video game will go from here. A lot of interesting things happen within Star Trek Resurgence #5. The back of the front cover has a recap of the events in this comic book series thus far. There are twenty page of content within Star Trek Resurgence #5. After that there is a page for the video game, alternate covers and a few advertisements.

There will be spoilers in this review. The U.S.S. Resolute is in really bad shape in Star Trek Resurgence #5. They delayed their destruction but they did not completely advert it. The decision is made to separate the ship. The people trying to survive are sent to the saucer section. Commander Sutherland is quite the hero in Star Trek Resurgence #5. He gives up his life to get the Stardrive away from the saucer section.

There is one thing Commander Sutherland does that is not very heroic in Star Trek Resurgence #5. The good commander sucks in the Talarian ship to destroy it with his ship. That kind of revenge is not the best lesson to give people in my opinion. The sacrifice Sutherland gives for his friends is right in line with what Jesus Christ taught. Lay down your life for your friends. He has an opportunity to escape but choses to stay at his post knowing it means his death.

The issues families can have with Star Trek Resurgence #5 are blood, violence, revenge and more. The artwork in Star Trek Resurgence #5 is fantastic. The very end of Star Trek Resurgence #5 has different characters facing the Starfleet authorities for what happened in this series. The captain tries to resign but they will not let him. His ship will be restored. The good doctor is punished as well. How will this connect to the video game?

It does sound like there will be a new crew on the U.S.S. Resolute in the video game. All aboard were forbidden to discuss what happened in that mission. The mission they were given in this comic book series was really an impossible one. Especially when they found out the doctor did not want to be rescued. Will that new warp drive ever get fixed? Star Trek Resurgence #5 showed the damage it could do to a ship and its crew.
