Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1

I have a bit of a confession to make. I have not seen one episode of Star trek Strange New Worlds. I have talked to my dad who has seen some episodes. I also have a general idea what the show is about. I saw Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1 and decided it was a good place to start my exploration of this franchise. I do plan on looking for seasons of the television show at some time in the future. There will be spoilers in this review.

Christopher Pike is the captain of the Enterprise in Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1. Spock and Uhura are also on the bridge of the Enterprise in Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1. The crew is trying to navigate this dangerous area of space. They answer a distress call from the Kestrel. Aisla is the only person they find on that ship in Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1.

The Enterprise does the honorably thing and takes Kestrel to a place where she will participate in a race. This race is run by a crime lord in the Scorpious region of space. Zephyx is the crime lord they are on the way to see. The crew of the Enterprise gets roped into a race around this region of space. The winner gets to go free. The losers wind up losing their ships and become slaves of the crime lord.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1 reminds me that no good deed goes unpunished. They are trying to help someone and get stuck racing against these aliens that all will do whatever they can to win. To make matters worse some of the crew is transported to a different ship.

There are twenty pages of comic book content within Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1. After that we are given a glimpse of one of the covers for the next issue, then alternate covers for this issue, and finally some advertisements. I suspect Star Trek Strange New Worlds The Scorpius Run #1 is going to be a limited run series. I hope the crew of the Enterprise can win this race. There is a little bit of violent content in this comic book.
