Starcadia Quest #2

Starcadia Quest #2 starts to dig this story out of the pit it put itself into with the first issue. This is still a really strange fantasy science fiction world that makes little to no sense at times. The back of the front cover gives a few paragraphs explaining what has happened thus far. I like it when comic books bring the reader up to speed. As a writer you cannot assume everyone has read the previous content. There will be spoilers in this review.

We get more of the short squat characters within Starcadia Quest #2. This comic book totally lost me at one point. The goal is to get this job done and pass the other F.A.C.'s. Then out of the blue we go off on a side quest that may not even need to be done. We find out that the ship was bought from pirates and the two previous owners are locked in combat but stuck in time so they are not exactly moving. What does the current owner do?

They free Edge and Rockwell and they of course want to do different things with the ship. Starkid decides they must go and save this little girl who needs help. I suspect she no longer needs help because temporal issues were all over the place in Starcadia Quest #2. I think the little girl is probably going to turn out to be Hannah Lone. The names of these characters are absolutely insane in my opinion.

The issues families can have with Starcadia Quest #2 are violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. There are strange things in Starcadia Quest #2 like a reference to pregnant men. Sorry radical far left wokesters, but men cannot get pregnant. Was that thrown in there to try and controversial or funny? A hologram comes on board to sell them stuff when they go through N.E.R.D. space. The Jitters bag of old candy from vending machines sounds like it has expired but it gives certain characters a boost.

Starcadia Quest #2 is twenty pages of content, next issue's cover, cards, and then some ads. The cards are like they were in the previous issue. I suppose they connect somehow to the game. I found it easier to Starcadia Quest #2 than I did the first issue. I am still not sold on this comic book series. The writing confuses me more often than not. There is quite a bit of text to get through. Could we see space at some point?
