Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2

I am very blessed to be able to purchase, read and review Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2. This comic book is a one shot with no story connection to the previous issue. I doubt Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2 will have any connection to the next issue. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2 is done in the Saturday Morning cartoon style of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That means it will be much safer for kids and families than the mainline TMNT comic books.

Please be aware there will be spoilers in this review. Shredder finds out some scientist is going to show off some new weapon on the 6 o'clock news. He wants to steal it but fears the turtles will interfere. So he asks Krang for assistance. Krang sends over Lt. Thrum. This character is a rock creature that the turtles will have all kinds of issues doing any damage. There is a plot twist of course.

The weapon Shredder is trying to steal is not actually a weapon at all. Instead it is a gun that will give warring factions the perspective of the other side. In the case of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2 it gives Lt. Thrum the appreciation of music. He goes to a music concert instead of continuing to fight. The effects are temporary so Shredder and the turtles are off to the races to find Lt. Thrum.

There is a little cartoon violence within Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2. There are twenty-two pages of content, then the cover for next issue, alternate covers, and a few advertisements. I see that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2 had a page about the mainline TMNT comic books. I read one of them and later found out they are mature readers only. I hope parents do not expect it to be like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2.

Lt. Thrum sends himself to another dimension where he cannot be used by Shredder or Krang again. He does this before he completely reverts back. Shredder gets away and everything in this universe is in essence back to normal. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2 is the typical one shot like many of the cartoons from that era. I wish there had been some coherent story telling and building in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Saturday Morning Adventures #2.
