Tekken Bloodlines Season One
SCORE: 60
I had a few free nights and did not feel like starting a television
show that was too terribly long. I ran across Tekken Bloodlines Season
One on Netflix and decided to check out this animated television show.
This six episode television show is based on the Tekken video game
series. The episodes of Tekken Bloodlines Season One are in the
twenty-two minute to twenty-seven minute run length. There will be
spoilers in this review.
The issues families will have with Tekken Bloodlines Season One are
violence, blood, gore, lack of attire, enticement to lust, bad language
and more. There is plenty of fighting in Tekken Bloodlines Season One.
The characters have some kind of powers they can use in their attacks
that can decimate their opponents. The main character Jin Kazama is
trying to find this demon Ogre because it killed his mother Jun Kazama.
Jin Kazama is told in Tekken Bloodlines Season One to go and find his
grandfather Heihachi Mishima. The storytelling in Tekken Bloodlines
Season One is very interesting. One of those interesting things in
Tekken Bloodlines Season One is Heihachi Mishima killed Jin Kazama's
father (Kazuya Mishima) in a tournament. Why would he kill his own son?
It turns out that his son had the devil gene. We later find out that Jin
Kazama also has this devil gene.
There are moments in Tekken Bloodlines Season One when Jin Kazama
struggles with the pacifist teachings of his mother, and the aggressive
win at all costs teachings of his grandfather. Jin even injures the leg
of another fighter in the tournament because he would not stay down.
There is a certain ruthlessness to the Mishima style. There is plenty of
conversation in Tekken Bloodlines Season One about which style to use.
Tekken Bloodlines Season One is pretty short and the ending is a bit
unrealistic. After Jin wins the tournament he must then battle his
grandfather. After beating those two he then battled Ogre. After beating
Ogre he then has to fight a more powerful form of Ogre. Finally his
grandfather shoots him and he comes back from that. I have trouble
buying he could win all those fights back to back and survive being shot
in the chest.
