Thanos Legacy #1

I work on the comic books as I am able and get the time. Thanos Legacy #1 is another one of those that came to me freely on free comic book day 2023 because I spent so much money. I decided to check it out. Thanos Legacy #1 is a huge disappointment on so many levels. There are things in Thanos Legacy #1 that make no sense to me. I also noticed that Thanos Legacy #1 is an one shot. So why even bother with the #1 then? There will be spoilers in this review.

The thing that made no sense to me in Thanos Legacy #1 is Thanos talks to his future self and agrees he cannot die. So, Thanos travels back in time and tells Mephisto to leave Frank Castle alone. He then goes back to his home and is easily murdered by Gamora. I thought he could not die. Then he dies. Can you see where Thanos Legacy #1 confused me? We also find out that Thanos booby trapped his body. Why?

The issues families will have with Thanos Legacy #1 are blood, gore, violence, false gods, and more. There is plenty of bad language in Thanos Legacy #1 that is done in symbols. Ads can be found throughout this comic book that contains thirty pages of comic book content. The credits page is right smack dab in the middle of Thanos Legacy #1. There are references to another comic book series I did not read.

In almost every single way Thanos Legacy #1 feels pointless. Thanos never wins, unless dying is winning. I am so confused by the backwards logic within Thanos Legacy #1. If I understood correctly Thanos went into the future to find out he never wins. So what is the point? Wouldn't be more interesting if he did win and everyone else was dead? He could not die and was bored and alone. That would be much more tragic and interesting to me at least.

Since there are no more comics after Thanos Legacy #1 I do not need to look for more. Honestly if there were more I would not purchase them. Thanos Legacy #1 cost $4.99 when it came out. I am thankful I did not need to pay that amount to read Thanos Legacy #1. If I had to purchase Thanos Legacy #1 I would have never read it. I am being open and honest about that. Thanos Legacy #1 did not impress me. Not one bit.
