The Amazing Spider-Man #28

I am very appreciative to be able to find a copy of The Amazing Spider-Man #28 comic book locally. The Amazing Spider-Man #28 continues the Doc Ock story from the previous issue. I am still a bit confused as to why Doc Ock hates Spider-Man so much. After all Spider-Man helped him out according to the recap on the credits page. I would think Doc Ock would live and let live in that situation. There will be spoilers in this review.

The main issue families can have with The Amazing Spider-Man #28 is some violent content. The Amazing Spider-Man #28 is actually tame compared to many other comic books I read. There are twenty pages of comic book content with advertisements found throughout. There is also a page dedicated to The Amazing Spider-Mail. A guy and his woman were shacking up (I think), and she got him some old Spider-Man comic book so he used the letter section to propose to her.

Jameson rushes the injured Doc Ock legs to Peter Parker and Norman Osborn. It seems Jameson knows their secret identities. This is definitely news to me. Jameson wants them to fix the legs because he has gotten emotionally attached to them over the period of time he has known them. So the heroes fix them only to find it was a trojan horse and Doc Ock used them to insert code into Norman Osborn's company.

Doc Ock easily defeats Spider-Man and Gold Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man #28. Doc Ock's new legs have this green slime that allows them to separate one segment at a time. They can also come together to help the bad doctor. It honestly is pretty impressive. Why is he using his genius for evil? He could be helping mankind and making a boatload of money. Am I the only one that thinks that way?

Spider-Man has a cool BUG drone that is neat to see. The problem is it gets crushed way too fast and way too easily. Doc Ock is made to look very over powered in The Amazing Spider-Man #28. If he wanted to he could easily kill Spider-Man and Gold Goblin. Again I have no clue what the beef is here. I hope some future issues will explain the reason for the anger and hatred. As of right now it does not feel right.
