The Avengers #2
SCORE: 66
I am still on the fence when it comes to this series. I am not a fan
of the hero line-up of the Avengers in this comic book series. I hope
there will be roster changes in the near future. I do feel like the
story telling improved a bit in The Avengers #2. I am still not a fan of
the captain of the crew. She does not feel like a good leader to me.
There will be spoilers in this review of The Avengers #2. I am not clear
on how many more issues I will read of this comic book series.
Carol Danvers gets back to Earth with Kang the Conqueror in The Avengers
#2. He has been badly wounded and is bleeding pretty bad. He does not
want medical help until he can tell her what horrible thing is coming
soon to Earth. Kang gives them information on how to save one thousand
lives. This is his form of a bribe. The Avengers do not exactly trust
him based on his history. His name also makes one think this is not the
guy you listen to. The tip on how to save those lives pans out.
Kang the Conqueror does pass out in The Avengers #2 before more
information can be gleaned from him. There are some horrible things
coming but he is not able to relay much more information than that. The
issues families can have with The Avengers #2 are violence, lack of
attire, magic, enticement to lust, blood, false gods and more. They
really toned down the Thor content within The Avengers #2. Wanda
teleports the heroes around the world to save the people who would have
been caught in some accident.
The Avengers #2 does introduce me to Myrddin and the Twilight Court. The
Avengers #2 does explain what content that came from. I have not read
the Timeless 2022 so I have no clue what was going on there. I may try
to find it at some point in the future. I am not sure one way or the
other on that. I guess it will depend on time and financial resources.
The recap in The Avengers #2 is on the credits page. That page is the
first one after the front cover.
Advertisements can be found throughout The Avengers #2. There are twenty
pages of comic book content within The Avengers #2. The Stormbreaker is
one I have read before. It is about the Immortal X-Men. I am curious to
find out what horrible things are on their way to Earth. The heroes are
waiting on Kang the Conqueror to wake up. By the way Kang is a white guy
with a beard in The Avengers #2. The MCU content had him as a black guy.
I always thought he was purple. Anyone know what is going on with Kang?
