The Chroma Tick #2

I am so very thankful that Peter found The Chroma Tick #2 comic book and recommended it to me. This is the second in this comic book series. The Chroma Tick #2 is also in color. I learned that most of The Tick comic books before this series were in black and white. If you know anything about the Tick then you should know there is some off the cuff comedy. There will be spoilers in this review of The Chroma Tick #2.

The Chroma Tick #2 picks up where the last one left off sort of. The Tick is off to find Clark Oppenheimer. Clark is a Superman kind of character in this universe. The Tick winds up getting a job at the paper and gets fired on the same day. His job is to make the crosswords. The Tick keeps pressing Clark's buttons in The Chroma Tick #2. I felt bad for Clark Oppenheimer throughout most of The Chroma Tick #2.

There is plenty of humor within The Chroma Tick #2. The story within The Chroma Tick #2 is very cohesive. The Tick is so clueless in The Chroma Tick #2. It shows that the Tick really needs to have someone help guide him through the perils of the world. The Chroma Tick #2 claims there are forty pages. The content of the story is only twenty-eight pages. There is also another interview with Ben Edlund. The back of the front cover contains an editor's desk column.

There are a few ads here and there within The Chroma Tick #2. The cards in the middle are pretty cool. The same goes for the poster. The cost of The Chroma Tick #2 for me was $4.00. This comic book originally sold for $3.95. The Chroma Tick #2 retained its value and wound up gaining five whole cents. I doubt I could sell this comic book back to the store for the same dollar value. The Chroma Tick #2 is not graded so I am unclear.

The Chroma Tick #2 does something I do not recall seeing in very many comic books. When the Tick is upside down his words are put upside down as well. It is an interesting and clever way of doing things in my opinion. The Tick really freaks out people in The Chroma Tick #2. He even deceives Clark by pretending a green eraser is his main weakness. The Chroma Tick #2 makes me wonder what The Tick's weakness is. Besides the limited brain capacity.
