The Gunk
SCORE: 57
I was looking through the free games on
Xbox Game Pass and came across The Gunk. I remembered this game from one
of our reacts videos or live streams. It has the Luigi’s Mansion kind of
gameplay where we suck things up and at times shoot them back out. These
two women land on a planet to find some resources to pay off their
debts. In the process they wind up sucking up gunk and returning the
environment to its pristine condition.
The issues families will have with The Gunk are violence, blood, bad
language, sexual deviancy, promotion of rebellion against God, and more.
The Gunk is on the short side. There are way too many cringe moments in
this game. The Gunk contains too many radical far left ideology in it. I
kept rolling my eyes as I played this downloadable only video game. The
profanity ruined interesting conversations about this alien planet.
The Gunk slowly peels back this alien world and its history. That is the
interesting thing about this video game. It is a shame too much
offensive and highly divisive content was included. We can suck up one
alien creature in The Gunk to shoot it at other alien creatures. There
are these cool pools we will shoot seeds into that instantly grow into
some neat plants. We find a plethora of different items that are used in
crafting better gear.
There is really nothing original or new within The Gunk that I found.
There are all these different ideas from different games that were
grafted together into The Gunk. I wanted to like The Gunk so badly.
There was just too much cringe, and offensive content. How many video
games need to preach to us the radical far left’s belief on the
environment? Do they think they will brainwash us if we hear it enough?
The memory size of The Gunk is nine gigs. I was unable to find any
information on a physical copy version of The Gunk. If you choose to
play The Gunk then make sure your device has enough open memory. I will
be deleting The Gunk from our Xbox Series X. I did play through Chapter
1 and Chapter 2 in video recordings that should be online before this
review is published. Family Friendly Gaming Universe will be able to
find that in the video section of our website. We will also be uploading
that video to our different video sites as time and resources allow.
What bums me out the most about The Gunk is it had some really good
potential. I hate to see that wasted.
