The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1

I have all kinds of confessions to make in regards to The Superior
Spider-Man Returns. I did not read the Superior Spider-Man storyline. I
heard about it from Peter recently, and read about it online recently.
So when I saw The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 at one of our local
comic book stores and got all excited. I would at least learn about the
return of this character. I hoped to hear some new origins too. There
will be spoilers in this review.
I am not clear what exactly The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 is.
Superior Spider-Man does not actually return in The Superior Spider-Man
Returns #1. This is another example of the comic book industry being
very misleading. The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 starts with Doc Ock
trying to get his memories back. He goes to an old base to spark some
memories. Then we go back in time and find out something Doc Ock did as
Superior Spider-Man. Finally The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 ends
with Doc Ock in that base in modern day.
The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 contains forty pages of comic book
content with advertisements found throughout. The Superior Spider-Man
Returns #1 ends telling us this will be to be continued in Superior
Spider-Man #1. Estrella gets released in The Superior Spider-Man Returns
#1. Estrella is a lady researcher that worked for Superior Spider-Man
and got merged with a mini sun. She has some major powers in The
Superior Spider-Man Returns #1.
The bad news about Estrella is she escapes the containment she was in.
She melted her way out so it will probably not be useful again in the
near future. Estrella sees Doc Ock but decides to go after Spider-Man
instead. The issues families will have with The Superior Spider-Man
Returns #1 are false gods, violence, and more. The false gods in The
Superior Spider-Man Returns #1 is in one of the advertisements. Marvel
is really pushing those religious beliefs.
I was really curious to hear how The Superior Spider-Man would actually
return in The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1. Sadly it did not happen. A
new really bad villain is coming after Spider-Man. I wonder if he will
still have the Green Goblin sins in him when Estrella finds him. That
would be an interesting encounter. I will need to keep reading to find
out. I am still not sure how much Doc Ock remembers after The Superior
Spider-Man Returns #1. He seemed to know Estrella's name and that she
would want to hurt him.
