Wacom One

Recently Family Friendly Gaming was offered a Wacom One for a review. I did not know much about the Wacom One or the drawing tablet market until just recently. A friend of the family did CAD work for decades as his main profession. He passed away recently so part of this review is honoring him and his legacy. We were sent a free copy of the Wacom One. I believe we were sent the medium version.

I did some research on the different sizes and features of the Wacom One. My initial impression was there were too many cords. There is supposed to be a blue tooth feature that I did not discover while messing with the Wacom One. The light pen contains over four thousand different pressure points. That means you can press at different depths to get smaller or larger strokes. There are also two buttons on the pen.

The power cord for the Wacom One is an USB-C to USB-C that connects to a power plug. The connection to the computer is also an USB-C to USB-C. You can purchase a regular USB-C to USB adapter if your computer does not have an USB-C connection. We could not get the Wacom One to connect at first. We had to download and install drivers. That also gave us software and more options to use with the Wacom One. I personally prefer plug and play whenever possible.

The Wacom One works with a plethora of drawing and art software. Not only that you can also use it to navigate your computer just like a mouse. It felt a little weird to me at first. Eventually the pen does feel pretty natural in the GUI interface. Multiple pen tips are included as well as a tool to remove them. The back of the pen can be screwed off and swapped with one that will hook on your clothing. The pen also has a holder on the Wacom One.

If you are into drawing and art you may want to take a look at the Wacom One. This is a light weight tablet with plenty of features. We were also sent a stand that works well with the medium Wacom One. I found less expensive and more expensive drawing tablets on the market. Wacom One is mid range with plenty of fun features. I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was sent a copy of the Wacom One for this review.
