Wednesday Season One
SCORE: 61
I had heard the worldly people were all abuzz over Wednesday Season
One on Netflix. I did some research and found a physical copy on DVD of
this show should be out before this issue publishes. That is pretty
cool. Wednesday Season One is mainly about Wednesday Addams from The
Addams Family. She gets expelled for dropping pirahna into the pool
where the team was practicing because some of the jocks had picked on
her brother. There will be spoilers in this review.
Wednesday Addams is then forced to go to Nevermore Academy. We meet all
kinds of different characters and creatures at Nevermore Academy. There
are shapeshifters, werewolves, vampires, medussas, sirens, and more. The
monsters are generally referred to as freaks. The normals are not so big
on the freaks. Pilgrims are the bad characters in Wednesday Season One.
Just more hate speech against Christians in my book. Wednesday has
visions after touching certain objects. She is not able to control the
power either. A monster has been killing people and there was a prophecy
about Wednesday destroying the school.
The issues families can have with Wednesday Season One are violence,
blood, bad language, encouraging sexual deviancy, spirits, lack of
attire, enticement to lust, attacks on Christians, God, and more.
Wednesday Season One has its cringe woke moments attacking all kinds of
good and moral things. It does not help this show to recite the woke
mantra of how they want everyone to rebel against God and the system He
set in place for us human beings. It is so arrogant to think they know
better than God. Wednesday Season One is such a bore at those times.
We find out later in the show that the monster is a Hyde. There are some
plot twists and turns at the end of Wednesday Season One. There are also
some interesting mistakes. Thing was stabbed in the back so he did not
see his attacker. Yet when Wednesday finds him he is stabbed right in
the front. This is not explained at all. There are eight episodes of
Wednesday Season One that are in the fifty minute range per episode.
We learn some interesting things about Wednesday’s parents in Wednesday
Season One. I am still on the fence concerning the casting for Gomez.
The rest are fine, but Gomez seems wrong to me for some odd reason. The
whole double snap is explained in Wednesday Season One. I hope it is not
more of Holly Hates redefining content. That would not surprise me
though. The only time Wednesday lights up is when Uncle Fester appears.
There are some funny moments within Wednesday Season One as well. I am
curious what will happen next season.
