Young Justice Targets #2
SCORE: 70
I am very thankful I had the money to purchase a physical copy of the
Young Justice Targets #2 comic book. We have been helping our local
economy by purchasing, reading, and reviewing comic books here at Family
Friendly Gaming. Young Justice Targets started off pretty good, but is
already losing me in Young Justice Targets #2. Part of it may be the
predictability of the story. Another part seems to be these weird teams
and not knowing how they fit into the great DC Universe. Please note
there will be spoilers in this review.
So much of Young Justice Targets #2 makes little to no sense to me.
There are all these different characters that are not really doing much
in terms of the storyline thus far. For example the Outsiders are shown
in Young Justice Targets #2 but really are not doing much. Why is that?
Are they going to get involved? What makes things worse for Young
Justice Targets #2 is there are only fifteen pages of mainline story
content.
We get five more pages of a memory from the past. This happens while
certain characters are recovering in commas thanks to the bad guys
attacking them. The Infinitors rescue the princess in Young Justice
Targets #2. The look she gives at the end makes me very suspicious. Is
that a shape shifter? Was she brainwashed? Something is not right there.
Plus it was way to easy for them to rescue her in Young Justice Targets
#2.
The memory of Oliver Queen has to do with the princess getting attacked
when she was younger. Count Vertigo has some plan related to the
princess. He is no longer in the line of succession so he cannot kill
her and take the throne. The Justice League is referenced in Young
Justice Targets #2. We find out that Cyborg is on the Justice League and
cannot go help the other heroes with the rescue.
Young Justice Targets #2 contains ads throughout the comic book. We are
also treated to a page for the passing of Tim Sale. There is also a DC
Nation Spotlight in the end of Young Justice Targets #2. There is some
action adventure violence in Young Justice Targets #2 as heroes and
villains fight it out with their powers. It feels rushed like so much
else in Young Justice Targets #2.
