Action Comics #1066

This comic book is the fifth part of the House of Brainiac. I got a variant cover for Action Comics #1066 so it cost me $5.99. The variant cover is right on top of the regular cover. So I get to see both covers. The regular cover shows a price of $4.99. Can you guess which I had to pay? The higher one of course. The main storyline in Action Comics #1066 is covered in twenty pages.

There will be spoilers in my review of the Action Comics #1066 comic book. There is additional comic book content in Action Comics #1066 on top of the main storyline. We get a story about Lena and Lex that is ten pages long. There is a page devoted to remembering an icon - M.D. "Doc" Bright. We also get three pages of a preview of Absolute Power #1. The preview contains some blood.

The issues families can have with Action Comics #1066 are violence, bad language, and more. Lobo and Superman team up to go after Brainiac. They also work on stopping the Brainiac Queen in Action Comics #1066. Lobo frees Superman and both fight and free other characters in Action Comics #1066. This makes the most strategic sense to me. Free others that can assist in the fight.

Action Comics #1066 seems to boil down to one important relationship. That relationship is Lex and Lena. Lex and Lena are fighting Brainiac in his mind while the heroes are fighting in the real world. We learn that Lex Luthor does not feel good enough to have this daughter so he let be watched by others. Lex also did all kinds of horrible things to try and keep Lena Luthor safe. I feel like their relationship had a breakthrough in Action Comics #1066.

The House of Brainiac storyline will wrap up in Superman #15. I believe that comic book is awaiting my attention in my pile. Action Comics #1066 is the last Action Comics I will read for a bit. I am not interested in the Absolute Power storyline personally. This one with Brainiac interested me. The one with Bizarro also interested me. I will see what storylines come in the future.
