Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
SCORE: 62
Some sequels are better than the originals and some sequels are
worse. It all depends on the franchise. I am very thankful I had the
money to purchase a copy of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on DVD. I
actually like this movie better than the first one. I feel like the DCEU
was getting better before it was rebooted. With that said there are
still issues with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. There will be spoilers
in this review.
Jason Momoa still does not feel like Aquaman. I still question that
casting. In fact Jason Momoa acts more like The Incredible Hulk at times
in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The issues families can have with
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom are violence, blood, magic, bad language,
lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. The global warming lie is
spread in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
There is some humor within Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. I love how
Aquaman is all about helping and saving his family in Aquaman and the
Lost Kingdom. At one point his infant son gets kidnapped and Aquaman
fights hard to save him. He also saves his wife at one point in Aquaman
and the Lost Kingdom. This is wonderful to see. The family unit is
encouraged in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom tells us about this substance called
Orichalcum. It was used by the ancient Atlanteans as a power source but
it will destroy the environment. Black Manta finds this Black Trident
and learns from a trapped king of the lost kingdom about this power
source. So Black Manta uses it for five months to free this king trapped
in ice. Why? He will do a deal with the devil to kill Aquaman.
Aquaman must free his brother from prison to get assistance in finding
Black Manta. The two brothers work together and help one another in
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Orm really grows and progresses in Aquaman
and the Lost Kingdom. Black Manta is stopped and the heroes lie about
Orm - claiming he died. That way Orm can go free. The Lost Kingdom is
stopped then Atlantis joins the UN.
