Arcane Season 2
SCORE: 62
I was finishing up this show on Netflix when it let me know there was
a new season of Arcane. Now the first season was nothing to write home
about, but there were some interesting characters and interesting build
up. Arcane Season 2 is nine episodes long and feels like the ending of
the story. In fact the two seasons of Arcane should have been one full
season. Now-a-days these companies make really short seasons and it
takes multiple seasons to finish one story thread.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Arcane Season 2 television
show. The episodes range from thirty-nine to fifty minutes long. The
majority of the episodes are around forty-two minutes long. The issues
families can have with Arcane Season 2 are violence, blood, magic, bad
language, evolution, promotion of sexual deviancy and more. The art is
still really odd in Arcane Season 2.
There are parts of Arcane Season 2 that make sense and other parts that
are really strange. For example this character appears and attacks a
friend of his. Then the next issue we find out what happened to him and
why he grew a beard. It made more sense, but it felt like the episodes
were out of order. The ending of Arcane Season 2 made little sense to me
either. I will get into that next.
The main character has this power to control everyone else. He is using
it, when his friend shows up what another version of himself said. The
pursuit of knowledge and power is what is important. Once he controls
everyone and everything he has it, and there is nothing else to do. So
he should just quit and give up so he can keep pursuing knowledge. That
would be like a boxer or wrestler chasing the title, but not wanting to
win it because things are different once you are the champion.
There is plenty of intrigue and politics in Arcane Season 2. This one
young lady is a mage and she helps capture her mom for this group that
showed her she has these powers. She then fights off the group that
helped her and freed her mom. Why? So much of Arcane Season 2 makes no
sense. One sister sacrifices herself when they both could have survived.
I hope Arcane Season 2 is the last season in this show. It got
significantly worse.
