Archie's Valentine's Spectacular #1
SCORE: 78
Maybe the last time you read the Family Friendly Gaming magazine you
noticed there was an email from someone asking us to read and review an
Archie comic book. Guess what? We not only listened, but we also took
care of this. I was at our local comic book shop and decided to purchase
a copy of the Archie's Valentine's Spectacular #1. It was the only
Archie Comic book I saw while there. The owner warned me all Archie
comics are about the same.
There will be spoilers in this review of the Archie's Valentine's
Spectacular #1 comic book. This comic book introduces readers to the
Spirits of Valentines Day. There is also a witch character in Archie's
Valentine's Spectacular #1 that summons a demon that messes with people
that are in love. She was trying to summon cupid but mangled the spell
somehow. That was a weird story within Archie's Valentine's Spectacular
#1.
There are five stories within Archie's Valentine's Spectacular #1 that
are all five pages each. The stories within Archie's Valentine's
Spectacular #1 are Flowers, Hearts & Candy, Heartbreaker Havoc, Be Your
Valentine, Jughead Kidded Kidders, and 3 Goes Into 3. Archie's
Valentine's Spectacular #1 cost me $3.99. There are some ads near the
end of the Archie's Valentine's Spectacular #1 comic book.
The different stories touch on things like spirits, witches, spells,
gluttony, math, and more. The Valentine's Trio is one page, and so is
the Editor's Notebook. There is also a page in Archie's Valentine's
Spectacular #1 devoted to some bite sized Archie. The blonde and the
brunette are still interested in Archie. Both of them get candy for him
on Valentine's Day. Jughead is all about food in Archie's Valentine's
Spectacular #1. He will date a woman whose father owners some food
related business.
All in all Archie's Valentine's Spectacular #1 is decent. The witch and
spirits are not my personal taste. The ladies obsession with Archie is
interesting I guess. I did not hate or love Archie's Valentine's
Spectacular #1. I am a bit baffled why the stories are so short. I may
need to check another Archie Comic book and see if the same thing is
done. I see what the owner means about all of the comic being the same.
Maybe that is a good thing in some ways.
