Batman #907
SCORE: 67
I am baffling back and forth on the Batman comic book. Part of me
wants to be done with it. Another part of me wants to keep reading it.
Batman #907 did not really impress me. On the front cover after the
reboot it shows this is issue #142. I am sticking with the legacy
numbers for this series. Batman #907 cost $4.99. The plus side is there
are thirty pages of comic book content within this particular
periodical.
There will be spoilers in this review of the Batman #907 comic book. The
issues families can have with Batman #907 are blood, violence, bad
language shown in symbols, references to evolution and more. There is an
interview page in Batman #907 related to Dawn of DC Sinister Sons. It
did not interest me personally. Advertisements can be found all
throughout the Batman #907 comic book. I am either reading those other
comic books or not interested.
Batman #907 is Part One of The Joker Year One. To be completely honest
Batman #907 is a huge letdown. We see the whole Red Hood concept in
Batman #907. We find out the Joker is thought to be dead because he was
dropped into a vat of acid. Batman could not find a body and the
corrosive nature of the acid was not quick enough to dissolve a body.
The Red Hood gang finds out their old boss is alive and want to kill
him.
Joker puts on paint that makes his skin color look more human in Batman
#907. He also picks a fight with some guys at a bar. Then after getting
beat up pretty bad he winds up killing a lot of them. Joker runs into
one of his henchmen that talks him off the ledge. Batman and Detective
Gordon can tell that things are just getting worse in Gotham. A cop that
is on the take is given advice about how to deal with Gordon by the
Commissioner.
There are things in Batman #907 that do not make a lot of sense to me.
Joker murdered some people and is living in their house. I wonder if
this will get us to the gas that makes everyone laugh or not. Batman
#907 does not get us there. Maybe one of the next issues will. I did not
really enjoy Batman #907 very much. With Joker being so scrawny I am not
sure how his bones were not broken in that beating. Joker also shows
fear in Batman #907.
