Batman #909
SCORE: 64
I am continuing to use the legacy numbering system with my reviews of
the Batman comic books. That means this comic book is Batman #909. The
front cover references this issue as #144. There are thirty pages of
comic book content with advertisements found throughout. Batman #909
cost me $4.99. Batman #909 is also the third part of The Joker Year One
storyline. A lot of the art within Batman #909 is on the darker side.
There will be spoilers in this review of the Batman #909 comic book. The
issues families can have with Batman #909 are violence, blood, bad
language, and more. There are different time periods shown in Batman
#909. We have Batman trying to stop this Joker outbreak that has even
hit the rest of the Batman family. In the past we find out about Jim
Gordon and of course the Red Hood gang. There are some surprises there.
The corruption shown in Gotham is really bad in Batman #909. The cops
are actually the ones in the Red Hood gang. The Joker comes back to the
bar that this storyline started in. This time the Joker is ready to
fight these guys off with no fear. In fact the Joker locks the front
door. Batman is not a big character in Batman #909 which is kind of
strange considering this is his comic book. I get it we are learning
about the Joker.
The cops put on their Red Hoods and attack their own police station. The
Joker also happens to be there and engages in an attack as well. In fact
it is easy to see who the Joker is in the police station. His disguise
is wearing a clown outfit. The Joker complains that rich kids bit him to
see if he tasted funny. Was the Joker ever at some rich kids party? It
is not shown in Batman #909. I suspect he was not.
I plan on reading some more of the Batman comic books because I want to
get to the end of the last storyline that was in this comic book series.
I am losing interest in the Batman comic books. Batman #909 is just
another brick in the wall that I did not really enjoy. Joker claims to
love Batman in Batman #909. Batman responds with how much he hates the
Joker in Batman #909. The Joker is pretty creepy in Batman #909 too.
