Batman #910
SCORE: 64
March 2024 was a big month for us in terms of purchasing comic books.
There were three weekends I went to the comic book store that month.
This happens a couple of times a year at least. Batman #910 is one of
those comic books I purchased for $4.99. This issue is also referenced
as Batman #145 in the new numbering system. There are twenty-two pages
of the main story in Batman #910 and eight pages of a Joker story.
There will be spoilers in this review of the Batman #910 comic book.
Advertisements can be found all throughout this comic book. The Dawn of
DC Spotlight is on the Suicide Squad Dream Team. Batman #910 is the
first part of the Dark Prisons storyline. The issues families can have
with Batman #910 are violence, blood, bad language, and more. The Joker
is really weird in Batman #910.
Bruce Wayne and the Joker are in a jail together. The failsafe Batman is
out there capturing criminals and putting them in his prison or just
killing them altogether. This is also referenced as the Batman of
Zur-En-Arrh. The whole concept of compartmentalizing personalities takes
center stage in Batman #910. We find out that Batman started the process
and never finished it. Supposedly it finished itself.
Bruce Wayne sees other prisoners in Batman #910 and winds up getting
caught by robots. The Joker has a broken back supposedly in Batman #910.
Speaking of nutso, the Joker eight page storyline is strange. We find
out this Dr. Captio was kept alive by the Joker. In a previous issue the
Joker killed him. I guess the Joker just continues to lie about things.
This same Dr. Captio is also in the prison Bruce Wayne is in.
I am curious to see where this Dark Prisons storyline is going. I plan
on finishing this storyline and then being done with the Batman comic
book for now at least. Vandal Savage references using the law to get
things back. I suspect Vandal Savage means the Wayne estate and the
Batcave. Batman #910 is not completely clear on that though. I wonder
how Batman is going to stop a more sinister version of himself.
