Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1
SCORE: 70
It has been some months since I was at a local comic book store and I
ran across Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1. It
was a free issue so I decided to pick it up. I honestly had no interest
in reading the comic book series at the time. Maybe I will look into the
graphic novel version of the entire story when it comes out. There will
be spoilers in this review.
Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1 has ten pages
that will continue in Batman #137. Then there are five pages that will
finish up in Catwoman #57. From there we get four pages that bring us up
to Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Red Hood #1. The final section of
Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1 is eight pages
for a story entitled The Plans Below. That final story is a prelude to
the Mind Bomb storyline.
The issues families can have with Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude
Special Edition #1 are lack of attire, enticement to lust, violence,
blood and more. It is really cool that Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War
Prelude Special Edition #1 is free. The bad side of that is
Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1 is really
trying to get you to buy all of these other issues.
The art, story telling, and dialogue are all over the place in
Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1. Some of the
little prelude stories have no words in them at all. Other stories in
Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1 have quite a
few words. The intro to this storyline is on the credits page. I find it
interesting that Catwoman took all the henchmen and trained them in
theft.
Violent crime in Batman/Catwoman The Gotham War Prelude Special Edition
#1 is way down. Theft crimes are most likely way up. Batman/Catwoman The
Gotham War Prelude Special Edition #1 does not exactly explain that.
Batman is going around and stopping crime. Other heroes think the
violent crime dropping is a good thing. I can see where this will lead
to some disagreements. Theft still harms people.
