Batman Off-World #1
SCORE: 68
I heard about Batman Off-World #1 some months back. I decided to
check it out when it came to our local comic book stores. Batman
Off-World #1 is exactly what I thought it was from previous research and
also different. This comic book is about a younger Batman that goes out
into space. Why does Batman go out into space? That question is not
completely answered in Batman Off-World #1.
There will be spoilers in this review of Batman Off-World #1. The issues
families can have with Batman Off-World #1 are violence, blood, gore,
and more. Bruce Wayne spends hundreds of millions of dollars to get out
into space. Why would he do this? Well he wants to get captured and
trained to fight aliens. That is in essence all we learn of why this
storyline is happening.
Batman meets Captain Syyn in Batman Off-World #1. This alien takes
Batman down in three hits. I am not really sure how Batman is supposed
to fight aliens that are so much stronger than he is. I suppose with
some better suit armor or something. Batman also learns from robots in
Batman Off-World #1 about the aliens and their weaknesses. This
knowledge will hopefully come in handy in the future.
Advertisements can be found all throughout the Batman Off-World #1 comic
book. There are twenty-four pages of comic book content within Batman
Off-World #1. I paid $3.99 for the Batman Off-World #1 comic book before
the massive government taxes were added to the price. Syyn is an
Akkarian. Batman actually ran into one of those in Gotham. There is a
little flashback in Batman Off-World #1.
Batman is using these aliens to get tougher in Batman Off-World #1. The
same goes for the robot that he is using to train himself. The aliens do
not see Batman (this flightless bird thing) as worthy of being trained
just yet. Batman is given menial tasks. Batman uses this as the first
part of his training. I am still not sure how he can increase his bone
density.
