Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham

I am thankful I had the money to purchase a copy of Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham on Blu-ray. It also comes with the digital download code that I will most likely never use. Why use a digital download code when you have a physical copy? It takes ninety minute to watch this PG-13 rated movie. There will be spoilers in my review of the Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham animated movie.

Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham is an Elseworlds where Batman is set in the early 1900s. There are vastly different versions of characters in Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham. For example Poison Ivy is not even close to being human. She touches Harvey Dent and turns him into a strange version of Two Face. The same thing goes for Mr. Freeze. Killer Croc looks weird and is mainly described as a monster.

The occult is deep in Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham. The whole story revolves around magic. Some being from another dimension is trying to get into their world. It corrupts and makes other characters go mad. Penguin is in the artic walking around with mutated penguins and is also completely naked. Etrigan the demon saves the day at the end of Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham.

The issues families can have with Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham are blood, gore, violence, magic, occult, false gods, bad language, nudity, and more. Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham is in the horror genre. I did not even realize that until I watched one of the special features on this disc. The different people associated with this movie explained where they got their ideas form. It was a three issue comic book mini series.

The setting in Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham is interesting. I liked seeing the technology that was used. Having Batman turn into a ManBat like creature was extremely strange in Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham. Especially when we already had a ManBat that died in Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham. The main lesson in Batman The Doom That Came to Gotham is that the sins of the father pass down to the son.
