Cable #3
SCORE: 65
There are times that my instincts are completely on point. Initially
I did not want to read the Cable mini series. I saw a couple of them in
the local comic book store and changed my mind. Now as I finish reading
Cable #3 I am starting to think my initial thoughts were probably right
on the money. There are twenty pages within the Cable #3 comic book.
Cable #3 cost me $3.99.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Cable #3 comic book. The
issues families can have with Cable #3 are violence, blood, lack of
attire, enticement to lust, promotion of the belief of evolution and
more. Cable #3 follows the same format of the other comic books in this
series. The main villain at the beginning of the issue is dispatched
with and we get to the next one at the end of this issue.
Cable #3 does have an interesting little twist ending to it. Younger
Cable shoots older Cable in the back of the head at the end of Cable #3.
While older Cable was working on the mission of stopping this
organization, the villain was talking younger Cable into working with
them to try and unify humanity in a way that would alleviate any
concerns the two Cable's happen to have. Older Cable was not listening
to it.
Black Womb is defeated really easily in Cable #3. There is a credits and
recap page in Cable #3 at the beginning. This is nice for those who have
not read the previous issues or it has been some time since they read
the last issue. There is of course a third scenario - those of us that
read a lot of different material and might not remember what has been
going on in this particular series.
One thing about Cable #3 that bothers me. Wouldn't the older Cable
remember shooting himself when he was younger? How does that work
exactly? A younger version of yourself should not be able to do anything
an older version of yourself is not aware of. Unless the older version
knew about it and did nothing to stop it. Whatever happened to
self-preservation? I would think shooting yourself in the head would be
something you would remember.
