Cars #7

I did not think I had this comic book issue. Imagine my total and complete surprise to find Cars #7 in my pile to read. This finishes off that Route 66 race. So many interesting and cool things happen in Cars #7. This comic book cost us $2.99 back in the day. There are twenty-two pages of comic book content within Cars #7. There is also a letters page, and some advertisement pages. There will be spoilers in this review of the Cars #7 comic book.

The humor in Cars #7 really stuck out to me. There is a nasty rain storm that comes to the racers in the last leg of the race. Mater must tow Lightning McQueen because he only has stickers and does not have headlights. Lightning cannot see in this weather. The other racers come across Mater towing Lightning and all kinds of hilarious comments come up. I got a real kick out of Cars #7.

Bubba winds up crashing and Mater saves him. You would think that Bubba would be appreciative. Instead Bubba gets Mater stuck in the same mud he had been stuck in. Bubba then goes to try and win the race. Chick Hicks is having none of it and labels Bubba a bully. Chick Hicks winds up making Bubba crash. Mater is saved thanks to help of the other racers. Then there is a mad dash for the finish line.

I was a bit shocked to find out who actually won the racer in Cars #7. Fillmore and Ramone are the ones that wind up winning in the end in Cars #7. All because Fillmore tripped over a cable to help out Mater. Bubba still has Mater's hood at the end of Cars #7. Mater realizes it at the end. Cars #7 teaches us that bullies are lonely. I am not sure that is why all people are bullies. Some people just like to be mean to others.

At the end of the day I really enjoyed reading through the Cars #7 comic book. I wish the race ended a different way. I am happy that Chick Hicks stood up to Bubba in Cars #7. That had been building and growing over some issues now. It was cool to have this multiple issue storyline with this neat little racer. Cars #7 also lets us know that Bubba will be back at some point in the future.
