Catwoman
SCORE: 59
Catwoman was released back 2004. I heard from plenty of people that
this movie was horrible. I never got around to watching it. Recently I
thought it might be funny to see how bad this movie actually is. We also
had some extra money to spend on products for review. It takes one
hundred and four minutes to watch the Catwoman starring Halle Berry.
There will be spoilers in this review.
I am trying to figure out where to even begin with this movie. The
acting is horrible. The situations are laughable, and the storyline is
boring and bland. I do not understand what they were going for with this
movie. It is like at times the actors are told to be Dirty Harry when
honestly there is no reason for either character to be angry. The fight
scenes are not even close to being half decent.
Patience Philips dies, and some false goddess uses a cat to bring her
back to life and give her super powers. This is not the Catwoman we know
from Batman. She does steal some jewels but at the same time stops jewel
thieves. She does get a whip late in the movie and barely uses it. She
flies around rooms on the walls with super speed so men with guns cannot
hit her. Cats show up from time to time in Catwoman.
The issues families can have with Catwoman are violence, blood, lack of
attire, enticement to lust, sex outside of marriage, false gods and
more. The bad guys gets killed and his wife becomes the one to worry
about. She uses some toxic facial creme that will actually harm human
beings. She is killed at the end of Catwoman. The love interest is a cop
that figures out who she actually is.
What surprised me the most about Catwoman is how badly these actors and
actresses did. I have seen them in plenty of other movies and shows and
thought they did a good job. I cannot say that about Catwoman. It feels
like no one involved with Catwoman actually cared about the end product.
They just threw some drivel together and hoped it would sell. They could
have at least kept with the core of the character.
