Cobra Commander #3
SCORE: 46
You know that song about falling into a burning ring of fire? I feel
that is exactly what Cobra Commander has become. Cobra Commander #3 gets
even worse. Cobra Commander #3 is more disgusting than the previous
issue. If the creators of this series are trying to be more disturbing
with each issue then they are hitting the nail on the head. Families
however should steer really clear of Cobra Commander #3.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Cobra Commander #3 comic book
series. The good news is there are only two more issues and the Cobra
Commander mini series will be complete. I think I can hold on for two
more issues. I am not sure how the Cobra Commander in this series
connects to the one in the G.I. Joe A Real American Hero comic book
series Image Comics is publishing.
Zandar catches Cobra Commander and brings him to the lair of the
Dreadnocks. Cobra Commander is tortured in Cobra Commander #3. There is
a ton of blood, and disgusting violence in Cobra Commander #3. Cobra
Commander uses mind games to pit the different characters against one
another in Cobra Commander #3. Zarana is also present in Cobra Commander
#3. Zartan is referenced as their brother only.
At one point Cobra Commander turns on his tracker so Nemesis Enforcer
can find him. Oh wait maybe I should explain something. The Grunt in
Cobra Commander #3 is actually Nemesis Enforcer hiding in a human like
shell. I am not sure how many Dreadnocks are left alive at the end of
Cobra Commander #3. This comic book has twenty pages of comic book
content, four pages of letters, a page devote to the next issue, and
then some advertisements.
Cobra Commander #3 is disturbing and disgusting on so many levels. Human
life is shown as so meaningless in Cobra Commander #3. Cobra Commander
does tell Zarana at one point that he is their future boss. If the
Dreadnocks are dead how will that happen? I still do not see how Cobra
Commander #3 will connect in with the rest of the G.I. Joe A Real
American Hero universe personally.
