Cricket 24

I hope you were able to come by and hang out when I live streamed Cricket 24 on our Twitch channel. That stream is being converted into videos that will be uploaded to our video sites in the near future. I do not know a lot about Cricket. I have played a few Cricket video games in the past but still did not feel any closer to comprehending what was going on. That is until this last live stream of Cricket 24. A wonderful gentleman from Ireland helped me with a plethora of comprehension.

I feel like I learned a bit more about Cricket thanks to that gentleman and playing Cricket 24. A match in Cricket 24 takes four days. In fact I live streams one inning and it took me an hour and a half. I also was trying to get myself out on purpose at one point. I scored sixty-two runs, and the other team scored fifty-seven. I then simulated the rest of the game and my team scored 713 runs compared to their 197. A dominate win by my team.

There are a plethora of different teams and modes that can be played in Cricket 24. Please note I have little real world knowledge of how teams are in the real world. I have never been to a Cricket match. Although who has four days to sit and watch one game? Men and women are available in Cricket 24. The graphics are decent looking but there are plenty of videos that are replayed again and again. Like when one team is complaining about an umpire decision.

There are multiple ways to play Cricket 24. Since I am not that good at Cricket I went with the Arcade way of playing. It is much easier to control things. With that said there were times the ball would go off a weird direction that just confused me. Or the bowler would throw the ball some odd way after getting an out. I learned this game has weird resets, and the fields can be helpful or glitch on you. There are plenty of ways to throw the ball if you want to learn this game.

My biggest issue with Cricket 24 is how long a game takes. Yes you can save it and come back. You can also simulate games if you do not have enough time. I got frustrated with how long it took, and how many times the batters would do a defensive swing. I then had to go back through the throwing selections again. I understand that all of that is part of this game. I am also happy to have learned a bit about this game. Maybe they will not make me wait two years for another game. We got a free copy of this game thanks to Xbox Game Pass.
