Destro #2
SCORE: 63
I feel like Destro #2 is slightly better in the content than the
first issue was. Hopefully this is a trend that continues with this
series. Destro #2 cost me $3.99 to purchase brand new. There are twenty
pages of comic book content within Destro #2. There are then two pages
of letters from people telling the creators of this comic book series
how amazing they are. Then we have a page devoted to the next issue, and
finally some advertisements.
There will be spoilers in my review of the Destro #2 comic book. Destro
informs his troops that Extensive Enterprises attacked Mars. He does
this from the Republic of Darklonia. Tomax and Xamot are over Extensive
Enterprises. They deny the attack and claim Destro lied and is using
this as a way to attack them. The twins claims Destro is threatened by
their growth and see them as a threat.
What to know what I think? I think some third party is behind the scenes
manipulating things. I suspect Cobra Commander framed the twins and
hoped for the two to battle. There is plenty of violent content within
Destro #2. The two organizations attack one another again and again.
Near the end of Destro #2 the twins and Destro have a conversation. They
decide to take out the head of the snake of each organization to
determine the winner.
Destro leaves near the end of Destro #2 to a secret location.
Unfortunately for the silver mask wearing man, an assassin has already
found him. Things could get very interesting in the next issue of this
comic book series. Of course Tomax and Xamot will need to watch their
backs because Destro #2 does not reveal whom Destro has sent to kill
them. Plus I would hate for any of these characters to die.
The credits can be found on the back of the front cover. I am curious to
see where this franchise is going. We are used to Destro and the twins
to both be under Cobra Commander. Destro #2 shows them as separate. Sure
Destro is working with Cobra Commander, but the previous G.I. Joe
content had them all working for Cobra Commander. The B.A.T.S. play a
role in Destro #2 as well.
